Scott McGregor

Scott McGregor was born in 1965 and raised in the coastal town of Largs, Scotland. After finding a passion for drawing at an early age, he graduated from the Illustration & Graphic Design from Building & Printing College in Glasgow and started work as an illustrator. He also worked as a 2D Graphic Artist and went on to become a 3D Modeller for 12 years before becoming a full-time traditional artist.
Proving to have a versatile talent, his paintings can vary from realistic to illustrative depending on the subject matter – which can range from charming, humorous subjects to lively and stunning landscapes. He prefers to paint straight on to the canvas, bypassing preliminary sketches in favour of letting the painting evolve organically. Completely dedicated to each piece, his satisfaction is derived from the viewer being able to make some sort of emotional connection to his paintings.
